Sakrale Poesie

Fern von gängigen stilistischen Kategorien betreten die drei Musiker neue Wege der musikalischen Kommunikation. Diese ermöglichen es ihnen, eine ungewöhnliche Besetzung mit Sopran Saxophon, Geige, Bratsche, Orgel, Klavier und Stimme, sowie ihre unterschiedliche musikalische Herkunft harmonisch zu vereinen. Vielleicht könnte man die Musik von OTeM als Filmmusik ohne Film bezeichnen, als Musik, die Bilder auslöst, Visionen herbeiführt, als Programmmusik - man hört das Wasser rauschen, man spürt den Wind in den Höhen - und doch, sobald sich die Bilder allzu sehr konkretisieren, löst die Musik die Bilder wieder auf ins Abstrakte, und es wird reine Musik, ehe neue Bilder entstehen.

Lontani dagli usuali canoni stilistici, i tre musicisti percorrono nuove vie della comunicazione musicale che permettono di amalgamare armoniosamente i caratteri timbrici dell'insolita formazione (sassofono soprano, violino, viola, organo, pianoforte e voce) e la loro differente provenienza musicale. La musica degli OTeM si potrebbe definire come una colonna sonora senza film, una musica che fa emergere immagini suscita visioni e che, nel momento in cui si concretizzano, cominciano a dissolversi e si trasformano in musica pura.

Sacral poetry

The three musicians who got together several years ago and called themselves OTeM have deviated far from the usual stylistic categories and found new ways of musical communication. They have done this with an unusual combination of instruments which includes a soprano saxophone, a violin or viola, organ or piano and vocals, as well as with their varied musical backgrounds. OTeM's music could be defined as film music without a film, as music that creates pictures, unleashed visions, as program music where we hear water rushing and feel wind blowing and yet, once the pictures become too concrete, the music dissolves those pictures back into abstractness and reverts to pure music before again creating new images.
